Your 2-day Fes to Sahara Desert tour begins with an early morning departure from Fes. Leave the city behind and travel south through the scenic landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains.

Your first stop is Ifrane, often known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," Continue toward Azrou, where you can explore the beautiful cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains and, if conditions allow, see the famous Barbary macaques.

Continue through the mountains toward Midelt, known as the capital of Apple. Stop here for lunch before continuing south through the changing scenery toward the Sahara.

From Midelt, travel through the High Atlas Mountains to the spectacular Ziz Valley, one of Morocco's most beautiful landscapes. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the vast palm-filled valley before continuing toward Merzouga.

As you approach Merzouga, the landscape gradually changes from rocky desert to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, begin your camel ride into the Sahara Desert, crossing the dunes as the sun begins to set.

Stop among the dunes to enjoy the Sahara sunset and try sandboarding before continuing to your desert luxury camp.

After arriving at the camp, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by an evening around the campfire with locals music and desert entertainment. Take some time to admire the stars before settling into your comfortable desert private tent.

The second day of your 2 days desert tour from Fes

Wake up early to experience the breathtaking sunrise over the golden dunes of the Sahara Desert. After sunrise, return to the camp for breakfast before leaving the desert.

Begin this journey back to Fes toward Rissani, where you have the possibility to visit its traditional market if your trip falls on a Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday — the main market days. Explore the lively souks and experience an authentic side of local Moroccan life.

Continue toward Erfoud, famous for its rich fossil heritage. Here, you have the optional opportunity to visit a traditional fossil workshop, where you can see how locally discovered fossils, including ammonites and other prehistoric remains, are cut, polished, and transformed into decorative pieces.

After Erfoud, begin the journey north through the spectacular Ziz Valley, with another opportunity to appreciate its palm groves and dramatic desert landscapes.

Continue toward Midelt, where you will stop for lunch before crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains once again. Travel through the cedar forests around Azrou, before continuing toward Ifrane.

From Ifrane, continue toward Fes, arriving in the early evening, marking the end of your unforgettable 2 Days Fes to Sahara Desert tour experience.
