After breakfast, begin the second day of your 5 Day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech with an early departure from your hotel or riad. Leave Marrakech behind and drive through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. There you stop at scenic viewpoints to admire the dramatic landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and mountain scenery. Continue your journey to the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, located at an altitude of 2,260 meters above sea level, offering spectacular panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains.
Continue from the High Atlas Mountains toward the castle of Ait Benhaddou, with the journey taking around 1.5–2 hours depending on stops. Arrive at the famous Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic and historic villages. Take time to explore its narrow streets, traditional earthen buildings, old kasbahs, and panoramic viewpoints. The site has also been used as a filming location for productions such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, The Mummy, and Kingdom of Heaven.

From Todra Gorges, drive for approximately 1.5 hours to a restaurant near the route to Tinjdad, where you’ll stop for lunch and have some time to relax. Before reaching the Merzouga, there is an optional stop at a traditional Moroccan and Amazigh (Berber) clothing cooperative.
